Heavy Heart

Today, my heart is heavy. When I got out of bed, I was thankful to be tired and to know that weariness was my only current health "problem." Thankful to be alive and healthy. Thankful to have a loving husband, a sweet son and a new dog, who I believe the Lord gave to protect us and teach us more discipline. Thankful for our families that never cease to love and be there for us. Thankful that my trials will always be light enough for me to handle, because my Saviour is gracious. Thankful that I will always be taken care of no matter what, because my God cares for me and His thoughts are precious toward me. Thankful that I'm not a slave to my sin and that my debt is forever paid. 
Today, I will celebrate life, because I don't have a reason not to and never will. Today, I will enjoy what the Lord has lavished upon me, I need not worry about tomorrow, because His mercies are new every morning and God has never failed to provide. Today, my heart is convicted because I need to be thankful EVERYDAY and never lose sight of why I am here and who I'm living for.

First Foods

Yesterday, I finally decided that it was time to start my little man on solids. I  had so much fun blending up a banana in coconut water for him! His expressions and reactions were so silly..he really seemed like he just didn't know what to do with himself. At the end of it all, it is safe to say that Donnie loves food and loves bananas!
