Sweet Little Bundle of Joy

This deserves a post of its own... on December 21st at 9:19pm est, my dear sister gave birth to sweet little Lydia Laurel-Noelle Krick! Weighing in at 7lb 7oz, she came into this world as the most beautiful and precious baby girl...EVER! I am soooo thrilled and excited for my sister and her hubby as they embark a totally new and different chapter in their lives...parenthood. hehe. I can't wait to meet my pretty little niece in just a couple of weeks. :)

Look at her!! Adorable!

Happy New Year!

So much to say, so little time. This month has been filled with joy and tribulation to say the least, but I'll post about that in a few days when the pace slows down a bit. In the meantime...
I had Panda Express for the first time in FOREVER, they opened one, a mile away from us! WHOO HOO! Now if they can just open an In N Out, my life might just be complete. Zach and I put up our first Christmas tree this month, in our cosy little place. It was so much fun! We went and got the tree, had panda, had Harry Connick, Jr's jazzy holiday album playing, got a fire going (wood-burning, just adds to the atmosphere and aroma :D) decorated the tree, watched a movie, drank some hot cocoa..oh yes it was quite the perfect experience. We opened our gifts for each other on the 23rd and went over to my in-laws place Christmas eve, watched It's a Wonderful Life, spent the night and woke up to a BEAUTIFUL, WHITE Christmas morning..it was..magical. haha. Praise the Lord for days where we can just admire His beauty and splendor! What a gift!
Skipping on..only because I was so excited to how a new recipe turned out. On New Year's Eve, I made crab stuffed shrimp with a white champagne sauce and some linguine and it was F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!! I can't believe it actually turned out soooo good. SCORE! Definitely a keeper. I'll post the recipe in the coming days. We welcomed the new year by being so late for work because most iphone one time alarms failed Jan. 1&2. REALLY?!? It cost me my reputation and possible career at Anthro! UGH! RIDICULOUS. Thankfully Zach's boss was really forgiving and gracious and didn't hold it against him.. by God's mercy alone. I, however need to start job hunting again. Both my jobs were seasonal and it doesn't look like any of them are going to be regular. Need some serious prayer, not working can't be an option at the moment, but I trust the Lord will provide and take care of us. So glad, I'm not the one in control of my life and that my all-knowing, sovereign Creator who holds the universe in the palm of His hand, is. :)

Haha, I guess I edited this one a little bit, don't even remember.

This was just the beginning..we got 5 inches later! A lot for Nashville.

YUMMO!
